This pattern is knit in the round from the bottom up. The bottom is sewn closed after the body is knit and before the handle is attached.

Worsted weight or sock weight 800-900 yds depending on length and gauge. Needle size 7-10 is recommended, the larger the needle size used the lacier the shawl will be.
