Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Bias and eyelet hat for worsted or Aran weight yarn. Simple 2-round pattern is easy to memorize. Make it in a day or so.
Knitting: Animal Toy
Gauge is not important, as long as the resulting fabric is firm enough to hold the stuffing. I used Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece, 2 strands held together on a size 8 (5.0 mm) needle, to create the sample. But any worsted weight (2 strands held together) or a bulky yarn on a smaller needle should work.

Hat can be made bigger, scarf can be made longer. More yarn will be required. I used 2 skeins for the hat and 4 for the scarf.
