The Quarter Stitch

Patterns available as Ravelry Downloads

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This wrap is a cozy garter stitch hug combined with a bit of flair! Both recommended yarns are primarily silk, giving us a great drape. The silk sari ribbon is woven through the silk garden knitting as you knit - the texture & color changes add visual interest while keeping the knitting easy.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These are a lightly shaped pair of mitts, knit from a single skein of Serpentina. Knit in the round on US 10 DPNs, or use your favorite technique for in the round knitting. Both mitts are made the same.
Knitting: Scarf
Third Ward is a triangular shawlette with staggered rows of eyelets. The pattern release is paired with the release of the 4th and final 50th anniversary colorway designed with Dragonfly Fibers for the Quarter Stitch in New Orleans, LA.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
The “Night Tripping” pattern and “Such a Night” colorway from Dragonfly Fibers are part of the 50th anniversary celebration for The Quarter Stitch in New Orleans, Louisiana. This pattern/yarn combo is designed to commemorate the original Night Tripper himself, Dr John, who sadly passed away mere weeks before the release of this yarn and pattern.
Knitting: Cup / Mug
The fun thing about these coozies is that they have a bottom, so they work as a coaster as well as insulating your beverage. The pattern is easily adaptable to other sizes, but is written for a standard soda (or more interesting drink) can.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These fingerless gloves are knit flat in a herringbone stitch, with an inset short-row thumb. The total length is approximately 9”, but a standard 100g skein of fingering weight yarn has enough yardage to extend the gloves to a true opera length of 18” if desired.
Knitting: Cowl
This easy knit combines the comfort of Blue Sky’s Cotton Worsted (knit double) with the fun and texture of Knit Collage’s Wildflower Drifter.
Knitting: Scarf
We always love getting new yarns into the shop. When we saw the Watercolor Sari Silk from Wonderland Yarns, we just knew it would make an incredible bandana - more jewelry than scarf!
Knitting: Cowl
This is the first in our series of 50th anniversary patterns, paired with colorways produced for us on Djinni by Dragonfly Fibers. The series draws inspiration from people important to the history of New Orleans, beginning with Marie Laveau.
Knitting: Cowl
Triple Threat is a simple to knit cowl/hood/shrug -- it all depends on how you wear it! -- with three colors of yarn and three needle sizes.
Knitting: Cowl
This is a fun cowl making use of the fact that the Hudson yarn includes two types of yarn on one ball -- a bulky chainette, and a coordinating fur. It is knit flat and then seamed to make a cowl. The cowl does require two balls of Hudson.
