The shawl was written during the lockdown period in the UK (which started on 23 March 2020). The lockdown was to help to halt the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) in the UK and to help save lives and reduce the burden on the NHS. Although this has been knitted in aran weight Angora yarn, it could be knitted in any aran weight yarn (or double knit for a smaller version). It does work best though in a more luxurious yarn.
