Young Gentleman Knits is a collection of 5 patterns designed especially for little boys.

Trailblazer is a simple mitten pattern making good use of the placement of a few cables. The thumb gore is built in an original fashion to add a bit of sparkle to a classic mitten.

Seeker is a visually striking cowl worked in a combination of cable and lace patterns. It is worked flat and seamed at the end of the work. This cowl makes exceptional use of a luxury yarn.

Lightning is a fast and fun hat worked in worsted weight wool. It was designed to bring out the most of those special variegated yarns but would work equally well on solid colors. The hat is worked from the brim up and features a large band of garter stitch adorned by a zigzag cable in the center.

Sunday Morning is a very simple pullover worked from the top-down. It features raglan shaping for the yoke and a simple V shape grown organically from the collar ribbing. Ribbing lines race on the sides to add a little extra polish, perfect for the Sunday Morning strolls.

Sparkling hat is a fun and easy project, perfect for using a single skein of DK weight yarn. The hat is worked from the brim up in an allover diamond pattern made of purl and knit stitches. It can be made with more or less slouch easily by adding or subtracting pattern repeats.

Piccolo is a fun and pretty stranded colorwork hat with moderate slouch. It is started with a tubular cast on and worked from the brim up in a simple 2 colors abstract pattern. Piccolo is a fast knit because of the sport weight yarn and, like every pattern in the collection, is a great gift as well as a stash buster too!

Oxalis is a side to side shallow shawlette worked in fingering weight with a large lace and cable border on one side and another small lace on the opposite side. It is light and feminine and makes a fast project too.

Sweet lilac is a very easy and fun sideways shawl worked in a combination of lace polka dots and garter stitch. The fun edging is worked as a long picot, for a simple yet striking visual effect. The center of the shawl is worked with short rows to give it a true crescent shape.

Devil’s mistress is a top-down small shawl with a garter stitch body and a very easy lace portion. The design features 2 options: the first one is a ruffly picot bind off and the second one is a beautiful vintage attached edging that looks more complicated than it really is.

Adagio is an open cardigan worked seamlessly from the top down, starting with a provisional cast on. The back is adorned with a classic diamond lace pattern and the hem, cuffs and collar are worked in a beautiful ripple pattern.

Andante is an easy open front cardigan worked from the top down in a warm worsted weight wool. The straight body is shaped at the waist by a ribbing band to create a flattering silhouette. The ribbing band of the waist is echoed in the hem, collar and cuffs.

Sauterelle, or grasshopper, is a simple triangular shawl worked from the top down in 2 original stitch patterns. The shawl pattern takes its name after the color of the yarn I used for the sample, grasshopper, which reminds me of the feeling of endless summer I had as a child.

The shawl pattern takes it’s name after the name of the stitch pattern in the stitchionary and is also the name of a pretty field flower found about everywhere in France.

It can also be worn as a scarf for a little touch of glamour to any outfit. The simple, easy to memorize lace pattern is clear and geometric, for a modern look.

This scarf is worked sideways from one point to the other, with increases on one side to create a crescent shape.

This fast shawl is worked from the top down in two stitch patterns creating an asymmetrical shape and look. One side of the triangle is worked in stockinette stitch while the other side is worked in a simple open work.

This pattern comes from my desire to create a very comfortable little vest for my son, to dress up some of his most frequently worn outfit. So, it is knitted in an easy care yarn, has a casual look and features an interesting textured fabric.
