Knitting: Dress
Very easy little girl’s dress with Lazy Daisy flowers, knitted bottom up in the round. Almost no sewing (just attaching the straps in the front; seam will be covered by embroidered flower). Use the tiniest leftovers for the flowers!

Two different balls of Kureyon Sock are alternated every two rounds/rows to create the narrow stripes. There is a rectangular cable panel in the front and also in the back; it can be left out to speed things up. Easy drop shoulder style, but with a narrow rectangular inset for better fit.

Cheerful little sweater, shown in Lamb’s Pride Worsted. Very little yarn is needed for the dots in the yoke; great way to use some leftovers!

This playful cardigan is knitted with two different yarns. The peplum is knitted with a classic cotton yarn and the body of the cardigan is worked with a satiny ribbon for a comfortable fit and a variety of textures.

Boy’s round yoke sweater. Sweater is knitted from the bottom up in the round; sleeves are knitted flat until they are joined at the yoke. Fair isle pattern requires small amounts of yarn; great for using up leftovers!

Golden scarf with an edge. Instantly dresses up a little black dress or t-shirt without looking too formal.

Soft, cuddly dolls - better than Barbie. Buy a ball of skin colored yarn for the body, and then use leftovers for everything else. Fill with roving or synthetic stuffing. This makes a wonderful gift for a baby or small child.

The mistake rib, an easy stitch pattern that you may know from scarves, is used here to provide a bit of interesting texture. Easy to knit drop-shoulder style with flattering, drapy cowl neck. Sweater is knitted in separate pieces (front, back, 2 sleeves) and sewn together. The collar is knitted on in the round.

Plain stockinette skirt in a variegated yarn with a solid color ribbed edge in airy mohair. Knitted from the top down, so length is easily adjusted. No buttons or zipper required, easy invisible elastic in waist.
