Crochet: Afghan block
I designed this square for Granny Square Day which falls on August 15, which also happens to be the Indian Independence Day. Hence the name Tiranga, meaning Tricolour.
Crochet: Coaster
This is my design for Granny Square Day 2021. This can be worked with a single colour or multiple colours of your choice. This can be worked in any yarn of your choice. The sample done with thread measures 6”.
Crochet: Electronics Cozy
This ear phone pouch is highly inspired by a YouTube video by Sharon Lee. It was made with two circles. So I decided to make it in a triangular shape. The triangular motif is mine, the idea is from the YouTube video.
Crochet: Doily
Chandni refers to the moon in Hindi. The doily is simple to work and is mildly textured. This can be made in different threads. The doily measures 9” after blocking.

Chameli means Jasmine in Hindi. This simple coaster can be worked in any yarn or thread. It is 6.5” after blocking. Sizes will vary depending on the thread or yarn used. It is a simple pattern and gauge is not important. It can also be made using a single colour.

This scarf was made entirely with scraps of yarn which could not be used for single projects. When I posted pictures of my scarf there were many requests for a written pattern on Instagram. So I have written it down with no specific yarn. This stitch pattern is the jacob’s ladder stitch. I have used 4 ply, dk and worsted in this scarf.

The pattern is inspired by wild flowers. The square has been done in cotton thread and measures 5inches. But it can be made in any weight of yarn. Gauge is not important, but size of finished project will differ if using thicker yarns.

As a crafter we end up with several tools related to the craft we pursue. There comes a time when we have several hooks in steel, plastic, wood and what not. As the hooks increase in number, they get bunched up in different places. Making this hook roll was to organise hooks in one place and to find them easily when needed.

This is my first hat pattern. The idea of a seamed hat came from another hat I recently made and I think seamed hats for babies are easy to work up. This pattern has not been tested. If you make it and find any errors do let me know.

Silken wrap as the name suggests is smooth, light and breezy to wear. It goes well with party wear dresses. The shawl is worked bottom up with lacy stitches and it can be worked to any size you require.

The blue blossom runner is simple to make and will look stunning on a lovely coffee table. The samples made are with Red heart size 20, hook 1.1 to 1.25 (blue) and Knit Picks curio, hook1.5 to 1.65(Pink).

Tiny Daisy Coaster as the name suggests is a small coaster that is easy to make. It can be made in size 10 thread or any yarn of your choice. Making it in yarn will give a slightly bigger coaster. Changing hook size or yarn will give a different sized coaster.

Les Fleurs Jaunes (yellow flowers) is a simple motif which is joined to make a diamond shaped doily. It can also be customized to the size of doily you want by adding more motifs. You can also join as many motifs as you want to turn it into a table cover.

Sterling Runner as the name suggests is a table runner that is made up of motifs. It is easily customizable depending on the length you want. The motif can be used as a coaster individually too.

This is a simple doily pattern and is worked in rounds. It is a written pattern with sufficient pictures. Gauge is not important. The sample is worked in Knit Picks Curio size 10, but can be worked in any size 10 or 20 thread.
Crochet: Hanging Ornament
This is a simple pattern for a snowflake that can be whipped up real quick. Starching heavily will make it stiff and can then be used for decorative purposes. The name of the snowlflake is derived from “Pani” meaning snow in the Tamil language and malar meaning flower. This pretty snow flower is the result of doodling with thread.

The center of this doily is inspired by a bright yellow wild flower that I saw blooming in the hillside. The construction of the doily is with simple crochet stitches. Depending on the size of the hook used, the size of the doily will vary. Gauge is not important. The sample uses one 100 gm ball of Anchor thread.

It is a simple doily worked in the round using basic stitches and front post stitch and picot. The doily can be made in any thread of your choice. The size will vary depending on the thread used. An exact gauge is not necessary.

Pinnate is a simple square made using thread. The squares made can be joined into a table cloth or a runner or anything of your choice. The square uses basic crochet technics like the double crochet and single crochet. A little bit of texture in the square is the popcorn flower in the center. The flower can be made in shades of your choice.

This is a simple mandala that uses basic crochet stitches and is mildly textured. Exact gauge is not necessary. Small amounts of yarn or thread are enough to complete this little doily, which is sure to brighten up a favorite corner table.

This bag was inspired by a unique cable design I saw on the Internet. The interlocking stitches looked like cables resembling the petal of an Anthurium.

The center of this doily was inspired by the dotted Kolam or Rangoli (popular in South India) worked by my mother using rice powder. She called it ‘Hrudaya Kamalam’ loosely translated as the heart of the lotus. It is her favorite Kolam to this day.

This cozy neck warmer/scarf/kerchief gets its name as it was created during Dussehra, a festival that celebrates victory of good over evil.

This is a soft and cozy scarf, perfect to drape around the neck on a cold windy day. The scarf is named after the not so common double elmore stitch. The stitch lends texture to the scarf and provides for a dense fabric.

This is a light weight shawl for those not so chilly evenings. The shawl is worked from the bottom to the desired width and border is worked after that.
