Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
We would suggest a light color for these highly textured socks so that your work really shows. Good pattern for an adventurous beginner.
Knitting: Scarf
Have your cable needle at the ready as cables and twisted stitches keep your interest as you work through this fun scarf.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I used Frog Tree’s Merino, but any soft lightweight worsted yarn will work. For the trim I used a soft chenille but you could use a soft contrasting merino or alpaca or super soft ribbon. The pattern is worked throughout on double pointed needles.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This wrap can be worked in either worsted weight yarn or sport weight yarn. If working in sport weight you will need between 260yds and 375yds and you will be working with a size 8 and size 10.5 needles.
Knitting: Drawstring Bag
About yardage: if you are planning on knitting the liner of the bag in a contrasting color, you will need approximately 260 yds of the main color, and 130 yds of the liner color.

An elegant introduction to Shetland lace
Knitting: Cowl
This small scarf sits around your neck and has five buttons and buttonholes all around the edges, so you can button this in many different ways. This would not be a good beginner project but good for someone with an sense of adventure.
Knitting: Scarf
A delicate lacy scarf that is a good beginning point for new lace knitters but fun for the more experienced lace knitter.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I used single crochet and chain stitch around the edges of this shawl to create buttonholes all around. I only used two buttons but you could put on more. I also enjoyed tying the buttons in place so that I could move them to give me flexibility in how to wear the shawl.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
You will also need some size 6mm glass beads. We found the Myuki beads worked well.
Knitting: Cowl
This is a fun little neck scarf and so soft. It measures 7.5” by 24” unblocked and I used 3 buttons. You can wear it buttoned straight or put a twist on it.
Knitting: Scarf
This pattern was written for two different weights of yarn. Gedifra’s Samina or Nashua’s Creative Focus Chunky. The Samina uses a US Size 9 needle and measures approximately 5” wide by 86” long. The Chunky yarn makes a scarf that measures approximately 7” wide by 78” long. Both area beautiful one a little dressy and the other great for a countr...
Knitting: Cowl
Use up that leftover 80 yards of novetly in this stylish cowl. Easy pattern
Knitting: Scarf
You will need 6mm beads (approx. 300) for this project and I used a Susan Bates crochet hook also known as a size 9 steel.
Knitting: Scarf
This scarf is relatively easy, with an increase, decrease, cast off and cast ons. It is narrow with lots of angles and will measure approximately 60” prior to blocking. Great for wearing around a jacket. It’s a twist on a bias scarf and knits up quickly.
