This 2-ply sport-weight yarn (most skeins well over 4 ounces) runs 1200 yards per pound. It is an 80/20 wool/alpaca blend and is made entirely from Vermont animals. (The wool, mostly Romney, comes from two family farms in Middlebury, Vermont, and the alpaca comes from Champlain Valley Alpacas in Bridport, Vermont. It was processed at Green Mountain Spinnery in Putney, Vermont, using their “Greenspun” process, meaning no petroleum products were used on it.

This yarn was introduced on June 13, 2008, and there are only 140 skeins in the batch. When it’s gone, it’s gone!
