Emily of Local Color Fiber Studio came to our mill with buckets of botanicals she’s grown for dyeing. We handed her some bags of clean, white finewool (and one naturally brown finewool) and she quickly got to work making magical colors from indigo, marigold, and madder. We then got busy carding, blending, and spinning these DK weight speckled skeins. Because the fiber was dyed in the wool (before processing) you may notice it has an incredibly soft hand and long lasting color.
