This chunky yarn is ideal for pattern stitches. Its distinctive texture as a fabric is very reminiscent of basketry, the kind made from sturdy but pliable vines. Hence the name, VINYA, Catalan for vineyard, where vines assume any form that you can imagine, and also nourish the imagination.

VINYA is custom plied for us from 32 individual threads of extremely fine merino wool. As we dye them the threads fuse into a supple mega-strand, incredibly cushiony and resilient.
