I have never had the chance to touch a cloud, but this is the softest of merinos that I have ever known and its feel brings me visions of fleecy clouds swimming in the sky. The material itself is the finest of wools, but after being elaborately spun the yarn is lighter and frothier and thus, in the end, warmer too than its heavier yarn companions. It has a modest sheen, is elastic and easily managed, but is strictly for hand washing.
