These three yarns have a lovely soft lustre and bloom beautifully with their first wash. The natural, undyed colours are soft and flattering and, as is often the case with natural colours, work very well together.

Black Isle Yarns Orrinside Flock Mixed Breed Yarns come from a small flock near Beauly, on the edge of the Black Isle in the Scottish Highlands. Spun at The Border Mill in the Scottish Borders.

Black Isle Yarns produces local, sustainable and natural yarns. We source wool from special local sheep flocks and create single farm yarns and unique blends.

Our yarns come in their beautiful natural undyed colours and in limited batches of glorious colours naturally dyed at home on the Black Isle.
