The 1/4NM yarns are also singles, but soft-spun, slubby, steam-set ones … they were originally meant for weaving thick scarves, with a very attractive texture, softer than the other yarns in this section though still not our softest cashmere. They are actually called “HandSpun” or HS yarns though they are mill spun then dyed in a “cottage industry” type operation… it should be said that some customers think they give a fascinating rustic fabric but some just think they are difficult to knit with.

NOTE we have found the occasional knot when winding the 1/4s single slubbies, that’s why they are a little bit cheaper.
