It can be machine washed in cool water, but we recommend laying flat to dry to preserve the beauty of your garment. For a typical, cohesive fabric, we recommend a gauge of 6-8 sts per inch (or 9 for harder wearing socks), which can be achieved by most people with needles US size 0 (2 mm) to US size 4 (3.5 mm).
