Mary is a fine aran weight yarn, made from a blend of 50% Peruvian highland wool and 50% Peruvian superfine alpaca.
The Peruvian highland wool comes from a Corriedale-Merino crossbred sheep that lives in the Peruvian highlands between 2,000m and 4,500m above sea level. The environment in which they live allows them to produce a wool that is very dry, crimpy and durable. The fibre diameter ranges from 24.5 to 29 microns, which produces a very soft, fine yarn.

The alpaca yarn used in Mary is a superfine (or FS) quality, with a fibre diameter between 25.5 and 26.5 microns. The blend of Highland wool and alpaca produces a yarn that is luxuriously soft to the touch.
