2 ply Merino is a rustic, but soft yarn that is produced by a cooperative in Western Spain. Shepherds work together with farmers and artists to raise a local Merino breeds. Once a year they shear the sheep and bring the fleeces to an ecologically certified mill in Portugal. There, the fibre is cleaned, processed and spun.
