This is a fine ‘lace-weight’ wool which has been left ‘in the grease’ or in lanolin.
The wool comes from our own pedigree flock of Shetland sheep and has been mill-spun for consistency.
The lanolin makes this wool a dream to work with and once handwashed and blocked, the yarn becomes whiter and fluffier.
