These skeins were spun using the fleeces (first clip) from our baby angora goats (kids). Their fibre was blended with wool for added memory to help your garments keep their shape. This yarn is fine and exquisitely soft.

It is a lustrous and lovely yarn as is, however, mohair lends itself especially well to dyeing, keeping its sheen while taking and holding dyes in clear vivid shades. This makes these skeins an excellent choice for hand-painted yarns or any dyeing project.

Knitted on larger needles this will make delicate lace projects, but it can also be used to make outstanding socks! Mohair has been called nature’s nylon and with its 80 percent mohair this yarn is strong, will wear well, creating garments that are light and warm, cosy yet not bulky.
