Lofty Plied is a fingering weight yarn with a soft twist and plenty of squish, and perfect for a range of projects. I have searched long for a plied yarn that captures colour/light in the same way as singles, and this may be it. It is a smooth yarn that does not split, and is well suited for creating comfortable sweaters. It is a deliciously soft yarn with beautiful drape.

This yarn should not be confused with the typical Twist Sock that is widely available in South Africa - it is much softer to the touch, and packs a few more metres per 100g than twist sock. A further note - I have successfully combined Lofty Plied with Twist sock without disruption of gauge in colourwork sweaters.

Each 100g skein contains approximately 350 m (or approximately 383 yards) of 100% superwash South African merino wool.

Recommended needle size: 2.5mm - 3.75mm or size to obtain gauge.
