This yarn is from the Blue Dot Flock at Tarndwarncoort in south west Victoria. These are the direct descendants of the original Polwarth flock established on the farm in the mid-1800s.

Polwarth are a breed of sheep developed in Australia in the 1800s. Polwarth sheep are one quarter Lincoln and three quarters Merino. They are known for their long, soft, fine wool.

This yarn is worsted spun yarn creating smooth easy to knit fibres and is processed in New Zealand.

It is divine to work with - once you start, you won’t go back….

Originally in 530m/150gm hanks…From 2020 onwards in 370m/ 100gm hanks to keep things easier with project planning.
