I taught myself how to knit many moons ago, before Ravelry existed. Without the amazing resources available now, my knitting floundered after a few years. After a friend convinced me to relearn to knit in 2012, and introduced me to Ravelry, I could not put my needles down, and when I began designing at the end of 2019, my obsession was complete!

I love designing using intricate-looking but easy to knit details, unexpected sources of inspiration, and vibrant color combinations. In my work, I draw from nature, fashion, art, literature, and anything that strikes my fancy. I always have a notebook tucked in a pocket or my bag to sketch, write down ideas, and take notes for new patterns.

I have a Ph. D. in literature and history (with a bit of art history thrown in the mix) and can be found most days teaching English and social studies to middle and high school students. I live in the Kansas City metro area with my husband, our son, and our 2 dogs, who make frequent appearances on my Instagram feed.
