A relaxed cable slipover designed for year-round layering, combining timeless texture with a modern silhouette. Thoughtfully designed for confident knitters who love wearable, versatile styles.

The 02 Twisted Tank is the perfect transitional piece. Its relaxed shape and subtle positive ease at the bust make it ideal for layering over crisp shirts, long sleeve tops, or floaty dresses for a more contemporary look. The tank is worked from the bottom up and features an intricate central cable framed by double moss stitch, offering visual interest and texture.

The front hem is cast on first and worked in twisted rib, followed by the back. These are then joined to create clean side splits at the hem before continuing the body in the round. It’s at this point that the central cable design begins, emerging from the twisted rib and framed by panels of double moss stitch. A few twisted rib stitches travel up each side from the hem to the armhole, forming a subtle faux side seam that separates the front and back.

Once the body is complete, armhole shaping begins and the upper sections are worked flat. The neckline and shoulders are shaped, and the shoulders are then seamed together for a neat fit.

To finish, the neckline and armholes are worked in folded twisted rib for a clean, structured edge. The result is a beautifully balanced design that feels modern yet timeless – a mindful knit with elegant detail.

Note: During testing the purl spacing between cable charts was altered slightly, refer to the testers images.
