DESCRIPTION
The 08 Fringe Cami is a relaxed fit v-neck cami with a fringed hem. The main pattern is a mixture of stocking stitch (stockinette) and reverse stocking stitch squares, which are divided by ladder stitches. These ladder stitches are framed with a knit stitch on both sides.

To begin, the fringed edge is worked with an open lace design and stocking stitch. The stocking stitches will be unravelled later to form the fringing. The fringe is worked back and forth, until the total length is the same as the circumference of the body and is joined to create the hem of the cami. The body stitches are picked up from the lace edge of the fringe and worked bottom up.

The armhole shaping begins, splitting the front and back so they are worked separately for the remainder. A few stitches are picked up along the cast off stitches on the armhole and the ribbed band stitches are cast on. Short rows are worked at the armhole until all the picked up stitches have been worked, and then the ribbed band is worked at the same time as the body.

The front neck is divided to begin working the v-shape, and the central stitches become the ribbed band to mirror the arm. Decreases are worked until the strap stitches remain and these are worked to the desired length. Finally, the straps are seamed together and the fringe is cut, and voila! you have completed your 08 Fringe Cami garment.
