Here is my version of a temperature blanket. I wanted to do something a bit different instead of the usual single or double crochet. I chose a simple pattern to crochet so that it gives the blanket a bit more detail and texture. Plus hopefully it will keep your interest throughout the year.

The pattern is quite easy to follow and your only daily commitment is 2 rows per day. Included in the pattern is a chart for your daily temperatures. This helps in case you miss a day or two or if you choose to crochet a week’s worth at a time. It’s all up to you.

The extra bonus of this pattern is the Wall Tapestry option. This project is a smaller size project with the same designs but instead of crocheting a blanket, you can crochet a wall hanging version. It uses the same pattern but after the end of each quarter you will end the piece and not continue on for the following quarter. You will then chain on for the next quarter and continue the daily stitch pattern. By the end of the year you will have 4 sections that you can hang from a curtain rod on your wall. It will be an interesting wall art that depicts your year’s temperatures.

Please share your progress with us on facebook (The Yarn Shop Lincoln) or Instagram (theyarnshoplnk). We would love to see all the variations of colors and regional temperatures.
