This hat is a conventional beanie style warm hat with an added bonus!
When the temperature drops, the hat band becomes a neck-warmer.
When it gets really cold, the neck-warmer can be raised to cover your mouth and nose as a face mask.
It is knit in two separate pieces and joined with a simple seam in the back.

It is knit on a 48 needle Sentro knitting machine.

It works for either a man or a woman. Adding a pom-pom makes all the difference.

The white hat knit in Caron Simply Soft is slightly larger than the green hat in the pictures. It is my favorite for using in the Sentro machine. Your personal gauge may vary slightly but the hat should still be a great fun alternative to the usual circular machine knitting beanie.

A label or other embellishment is helpful to mark the front or back of the hat.
