This design is the mystery KAL for the Fingerless Gloves Fanatics Group for the month of July, 2021. It uses a combination of fingering weight and lace weight yarns. For these mitts you will need about:
Fingering weight: 150 m (164 yards)
Lace weight: 90 m (98 yards)

A strong contrast in the colours of the two yarns is recommended.

The pattern has been written in one size as one section is difficult to adapt to larger or smaller stitch counts. I recommend trying to size up or down needle sizes if you wish to adapt the size. Finished size, knit to stated gauge, gives a mitt with an unstretched palm circumference of about 16 cm (6 1/2”) and a length of 18 cm (7 “). The palm will comfortably stretch to at least 19 cm (7 1/2”) when worn.

During pattern development, I used madeleinetosh Prairie lace weight and KnitPicks Lace Weight, neither of which are listed as available on Ravelry.

Erratum: please note that clue 1 was released with an error in the section entitled “Picot cast on”. I had noted in two places to break the lace weight yarn - this should happen at the end of the Picot cast on section. A new version has been uploaded to the pattern page.
