Adelaide Socks
This is the perfect sock pattern for your yarn advent leftovers or minis!
When I was growing up, at the end of every year we traveled to Adelaide to visit both sets of my grandparents, so when I think of Adelaide, I think of Christmas! It seems appropriate then that the sock pattern I dedicated to this city is a festive sock inspired to use a sock yarn advent or end of year countdown set.
Like little presents wrapped up in layers of festive paper and ribbon, these cuff down, fingering weight (4ply) socks, unfold with differing textures and bands of colour. They are a glorious adventure to knit, with easy-to-follow pattern repeats in each section and fully adjustable sizing.
As with all the other patterns in my Australian City Sock Collection, there are cuff and heel options so you can build your perfect sock.
This pattern is designed to use leftovers from a 12 or 24-day sock yarn advent but would also look great in a scrappy version, knit up in a single colour or in a lovely speckled yarn!
I hope you feel all the joy and happiness knitting these up that I did.
This pattern has been tech edited and fully tested. I warmly welcome any feedback or questions about the pattern.
Happy making!
Kath xx
