Agnes Nitt’s Cowl is a lightweight, reversible cowl in a softly ribbed pattern on one side and a more structured, ribbed texture on the other. It is a companion project to Agnes Nitt’s Washcloth, inspired by Terry Pratchett’s DiscWorld series. In Maskerade Agnes has two sides: a nice, accepting, helpful witch side and a sharper, more dramatic opera singer side she calls Perdita. Fortunately her two sides talk to each other and work together through her challenges, like being courted by a vampire named Vlad de Magpyr. He is fascinated that he cannot control her shifting mind. Perdita thinks he’s cute, but Agnes is disgusted by his callous treatment of people. And so she works to free her land of Vlad and his extended family.

The two different yet complementary sides of this cowl reflect the different aspects of this accomplished character.
