This consists of two tree skirt patterns with bobbles and arrows: smaller is roughly 4’ diameter, larger is roughly 4’10” diameter using Bernat Softee Chunky and a 9mm hook. The larger may be over 5’ across if you tend to crochet with looser tension. A larger or smaller hook can be used to increase or decrease the diameter.

The smaller and larger patterns are completely independent of one another. The large is not a continuation after the end of the small.

These are both for artificial trees with small diameter trunks, but both can be easily adapted to have a larger hole by skipping the first few rounds.

These patterns are not perfectly flat. There is subtle extra height in the middle to accommodate the tree stand.

This pattern can be done with any gauge yarn and corresponding hook, although this will affect the finished size. With worsted weight yarn and a 5mm hook, the smaller pattern uses about 600g of yarn and produces a 32” diameter tree skirt.

Some stitch diagrams are included to supplement the written instructions. There is no diagram of the complete pattern.

No instructions are given for colour work, but it is simple to plan stripes from the photos of the finished item.
