The Alma Sweater is a cosy, everyday knit featuring a wide-set raglan, wide neckline, and a comfortably oversized body. This pattern is easy to follow even for beginners yet distinctive for its simple but effective neckline. It also includes guidance on adjusting ease, so you can tailor the fit to your preference.

gauge: 17 sts x 25 rows in stockinette on 4.5mm needles = 10 x 10 cm

finished measurements:
body circumference: 105 (115) 125 (135) 145 (155) 165 (175) 185 cm
yoke depth: 21 (21) 23 (24) 25 (25.5) 27 (27.5) 28 cm (back CO)
body length: 53cm (adjustable)
sleeve length: 43 cm (measured from the underarm)
sleeve circumferences (upper arm): 37.5 (40) 43.5 (47) 49.5 (53) 56.5 (60) 64.5 cm

Choose your size based on your bust circumference. For reference, my bust circumference is around 85 cm and I knit size 2, which gives me approximately 30 cm of positive ease at the chest and approximately 13 cm of positive ease at the upper arm, so around half as much positive ease on the sleeves compared to the body.

There’s instructions on how to adjust the pattern to have less positive ease on the body.
