Arctic Scallops
This two-color brioche hat features undulating waves of scalloped shells. The hat is worked from the bottom up, starting immediately with the gorgeous sea scallops pattern after casting on. You will work a one-color cast on to create a beautiful outline for your finished hat.

To fit head circumference 21-23 inches (53-58.5 cm)

Circumference: 20 inches (51 cm)

Meant to be worn with 1-3 inches (2.5-7.5 cm) of negative ease

186 yards (170 m) DK weight yarn (3-ply, 100% Targhee)
- Main color: 95 yards (87 meters), color Seaside
- Contrast color: 91 yards (83 meters), color Tanzanite and Tea Leaves
16-inch (40 cm) US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles; adjust needle size as needed to achieve gauge
40-inch (100 cm) US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles or US 5 (3.75 mm) DPNs (whichever needles fit your preferred method for knitting small circumferences in the round)
Stitch marker for noting beginning of round, contrasting stitch markers to note pattern repeats, row counter or your preferred method for tracking your knitting, tapestry needle
