Aspen Trail Beanie
The #AspenTwistBeanie, is my little nod to the dream of skiing in Aspen—tiny cables that twist like paths through the trees, slipped stitches that leave tracks like skis in fresh snow.
The beanie is created for adults 21” to 23” in head circumference with the gauge identified as below:
Super Bulky: 8 rows x 5 sts in 2” x 2”
Bulky: 12 rows x 9 sts in 2” x 2”
Worsted: 18 rows x 14 sts in 2” x 2”
(in stockinette, unblocked)
Materials needed would be as follows:
Super Bulky: US 10.5 (6.5mm) and US 13 (9mm)
Bulky: US 9 (5.5mm) and US 10.5 (6.5mm)
Worsted: US 4 (3.5mm) and US 6 (4.0mm)
Cable needle
Tapestry needle
Scissors
5 stitch markers (optional)
Stitch stoppers (optional)
Branding tag (optional)
Stitch counter (optional)
Only 1 skein per yarn weight is required for this beanie, but you can of course make it scrappy or change out the brim for a different colour if you desire.
