The third pattern in the Lady In Red collection of worsted weight accessories is mitts (and full mittens for those with really cold hands). You can find the shawl and the hat here or get the whole e-book for $12

Named Audrey after the most beautiful woman who ever lived (or so Urban Dictionary says, go look up Audrey Hepburn), this set of accessories is created using the same eyelet body and basketweave border pattern. Basketweave stitch is explained in detail in the pattern.

The basketweave cuff is worked back and forth, the rest is worked in the round using either DPNs or long circular needle for magic loop method. Gusset increases are hidden inside the palm, so the pattern flows uninterrupted on top of hand.

Size: One size, adult medium (to fit hand circumference of about 19 cm / 7.5’’) mitts (full mittens)

Needle: 3.5 mm/ US 4 DPNs or long circular needle for magic loop method
4.5 mm/ US 7 straight needles or circular needle
or whatever sizes give you correct gauge.
If you are a tight knitter consider sizing up on the larger needle.

Yarn: Malabrigo Rios (100% merino; 192 m/ 210 yards per 100 g/ 3.53 oz skein)
1 skein in colourway Ravelry Red

Yardage: 105 (135) m / 115 (150) yards

Gauge: 20 sts / 30 rounds = 10 cm / 4’’ square in Eyelet pattern
using smaller needle after blocking
20 sts / 32 rows = 10 cm / 4’’ square in Basketweave stitch using larger needle after blocking

The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.
