Austere Blouse is a minimalistic blouse with a cropped length, crew neck and balloon style sleeves.
This design features compound raglan increases for slim sleeves, slip stitches details along the center front, sleeves and sides, a longer back yoke for a better fit and all over I-cord edges.
For this blouse choose favorite light weight yarn like mohair or alpaca to make light but warm blouse, perfect for every day wear or for some special occasions.
The Austere Blouse is a perfect piece for your basic wardrobe all year round.
Pattern for the same style Austere Tee is also available.
Austere Blouse is worked top down and seamlessly in the round with compound raglan increases on the yoke. Once the yoke is ready, back is worked longer back and forth in rows for better fit.
Sleeves stitches are placed on hold and body is worked in the round to desired length.
Then sleeves are worked in the round and shaped with decreases for a balloon look.
The last touch – finish neckline, sleeves and bottom of the body with I-cord edges for a more polished look.
