This new design is added to the Contour patterns family, including Contour Scarf and Contour Hooded Scarf as well.
Contour Hood is a versatile, unisex accessory designed to keep your head and neck warm during the cold season. This hood is worked in an easy, engaging ridged rib pattern. A few decreases and increases are incorporated into the pattern repeats to shape the hood perfectly.
Hood is finished with delicate ribbing at the bottom and folded ribbing around the face opening. Optionally, you can make the bottom ribbing longer, fold the ribbing inward so it covers your lips and cheeks for extra coziness on cold winter days.
It’s a perfect project to make the holiday gifts for your loved ones or just for relaxed knitting.
Contour Hood is worked top down and seamlessly.
At first, work a small rectangle for the top of the hood, then pick up stitches along the sides and work the hood to desired length. After, shape the hood with incorporated decreases and increases and join to work in the round, finishing hood with delicate ribbing on the bottom. The last touch – pick up stitches around the face opening and finish with the folded ribbing.
