This hat was made using A yarn called Caron Gold. Not sure if it is still available, I have not seen it anywhere. I had one skein of it in my stash, and used it up making this hat. I’m not sure of the yardage, but it was a 3oz skein. I would think any Caron Simply Soft yarn would work, but have not tried any other yet. I did make it using regular worsted weight Red Heart Super Saver, and included the bonus lining, and it worked up fine.

This pattern also includes a bonus addition at the end, in case you would like to leave off the pom pom and make it reversible, or simply have it lined with a pom pom.
