This pattern would be very difficult for beginners, and may be challenging to those with intermediate skills. I created this pattern because Ava is my daughters favorite character, and the pattern ended up being more challenging than anticipated.

The yarn listed is what I used, because it was on hand. Whisper Soft is beige, Vanna’s Choice is cranberry, Red Heart is both soft white and bright yellow, and Bernat is taupe. However, all of these could be easily substituted with Big Twist Value (my favorite yarn) using Camel, Deep Red, Varsity Yellow, White (Ivory, Khaki, or Cream might be better), and Taupe.

The majority of this pattern uses a 4mm hook, but there are two rows where a 4.5mm hook is recommended, but not required. The eyes proved to be a challenge to crochet with details to size, so I ended up using brown, white, and black felt, attached with hot glue.
