This two‑colour brioche beanie is worked in the round and is a polished update of the very first pattern I ever designed. It’s written with intermediate knitters in mind, but confident knitters who want a clear, simple brioche project will feel right at home.

The hat uses a two‑round repeat in a Main Colour (MC) and Contrast Color (CC), making it easy to find your rhythm. Stitch markers are especially helpful once you reach the crown.

To get the most from this pattern, you should be comfortable knitting in the round, slipping stitches, working yarn overs, and reading abbreviated instructions. All brioche terminology is explained along the way.
