SIZE

Length (optional) 206 cm

Width(one size) 1 9,5 cm

Skills: Knit in round & fair isle printwork

Material

Hand dyed Kid Silk mohair from Thelma Steimann 64% kid mohair and 36% silk brushed singles with 420 m/50g hanks. The merino and mohair are knitted together as one strand. 100 gr of Kid silk mohair in at least two colors.

This is the perfect leftover project, so the more color the better. You can also use Wild alpaca, but just make sure to knit it with a single thread.

Circular needle 6 mm 40 cm
Tapestry needle for weaving in the ends 2 x stitch markers
Sweater care brush to brush the scarf

Tension gauge

Be sure to check your own tension before starting to knit.
Cast on 13 stitches with 2 strands of Kid silk mohair and knit 18 rows on needles 6 mm for a 10 x 10 cm sample.
If tension measures too tight, change to a thicker needle.
If tension measures too wide, change to a thinner needle.

Good to know

The scarf is knitted in round throughout the whole project. The printwork is knitted with the fair isle technique. If you have a hard time keeping the gauge when working with two colors, I recommend that you change over to a bigger needle.
