Overview
Beach Daydreams is a top down, crescent shaped shawl inspired by the beaches of North Carolina. It’s ONE size with an optional expanded border and uses between 800 and 1,200 yards (731-1,097m) of lace weight yarn. Shown in Wollelfe’s Merino Silk Lace Gradient, Young & Stylish, and trimmed with Shibui Knits’ Silk Cloud in Suit. Miyuki 8/0 seed beads in Crystal AB and Silver Lined Montana Blue accentuate the colors in the yarn perfectly.

Beads
Beads are optional and, as charted, the shawl uses 1,925-2,640 beads in one or two colors.

Size
With the expanded border, the piece measures a whopping 70” x 30” (177 x 76cm) and uses approximately 852 yards (779m) of lace weight yarn.

Gauge is not critical, but will affect the final dimensions and the amount of yarn used. It’s measured AFTER blocking in the lace pattern of Chart 2.
