The Beeline hat and mitts set captures the gentle buzz of bumblebees travelling from flower to flower in knitting form: their foraging routes for nectar are knitted as sinuous
travelling cables.

Bumblebees in the pattern are worked in stranded colourwork at the end of travelling cables, which gives the garments an embossed texture. It is easier than it looks – no more than two colours are knitted at once, and the bumblebees’ wings are simply made by lifting a float you created a few rows down!
