Simple elegance is the key to this cardigan - a graceful A-line shape, a beautifully textured collar band, and 3/4 or full length sleeves.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Bust - 35½ (37½, 39½, 41½, 43½)(45½, 47½, 49½, 51½)“, based on twice finished back measurement. Fronts do not meet at bust.
Intended to be worn with 0-2” of ease.
Length - 21½ (21½, 22, 23, 23½)(23½, 24, 24, 24½)”.

YARN: 3/4 length sleeves - 995 (1030, 1105, 1190, 1275)(1315, 1415, 1460, 1550) yds.
Full length sleeves - 1055 (1095, 1175, 1260, 1350)(1390, 1500, 1545, 1640) yds.
Worsted weight wool or wool blend.
Shown in String Theory Hand Dyed Yarn “Caper Aran” (80% superwash merino wool,
10% cashmere, 10% nylon, 200 yds/4 oz) - Haze.

NEEDLES: U.S. size 8 (5.0mm) straight or circular needles.
Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge.

OTHER: Stitch holders, removable markers, cable needle, tapestry needle, extra needle for 3-needle bind off.

GAUGE: 18 sts/24 rows = 4” in stockinette, blocked.

SKILL LEVEL: Advanced beginner. Techniques include decreases, picking up stitches, simple cables, and reading charts. Other techniques (3-needle bind off, sloped bind off) are explained in the pattern.

CONSTRUCTION: Fronts and back are knit separately from the bottom up and seamed at the sides and shoulders. Stitches for the modified drop sleeves are picked up at the shoulders, knit flat, and seamed. Collar bands are knit along with the fronts and seamed at the back neck.
