TEST KNITTING STARTING JAN-11-2026:
I’m opening a tester call for Bjarne, a sweater for men, worked entirely in pure stockinette. Bjarne is part of my knitting for the men in our lives design line - designed for everyday wear — pieces made to be worn and lived in.

Bjarne has focus on proportion, balance, and clean lines — translated into a masculine silhouette with defined shoulder shaping and a carefully constructed yoke that follows the body’s contours - built on my Form & Fit customized pattern and tailor-knitting concept.

However, this is a standard-size pattern graded from XXS to 2XL with each size written and tested individually to ensure consistent fit across the size range. As with all my Form & Fit designs, clarity and structure in the pattern are a priority.

In the pattern I provide you the option to pick your size based on more of your body measurements than “just” the chest measurement to become your own knitwear designer - customizing your own garment.

However, you can also simplify your knitting and choose your size based on your chest circumference as usual. Pattern price is expected around 15 Euros.

We will be testing the following:
• Sizes XXS – 2XL (body chest circ 70 – 130 cm 28-52 inches)
• Fit & proportions
• Positive ease of around 0-7 cm 0-2.75 inches
• Clarity and flow of the pattern instructions

Practical details:
• Skill level: Beginner – Intermediate
• Gauge: 20 sts × 29 rows = 10 cm / 4” – needle size 4 mm US6
• Yarn: DK / light worsted (wool recommended)
• Language: English
• Test start: January 11, 2026
• Test end: March 13, 2026
• Platform: Google Drive (pattern), Ravelry (progress & final photos), Instagram (group chats)
• Video tutorials will be available

Tester profile:
This tester call is best suited for knitters who:
• enjoy fit-focused designs and clean construction
• are comfortable following detailed, size-specific instructions,
• are willing to engage in frequent fit feedback and check-ins
• can complete the sweater within test window & post results on Ravelry/social media

A note on pattern complexity & tester expectations:
The yoke of Bjarne is not a “mindless knit.” While the pattern is written with clarity and supported by video tutorials, it requiresfocused knitting and careful reading.

This test is best suited for experienced knitters who enjoy working with asymmetric construction, appreciate row-by-row guidance, and are comfortable that each part of the garment develops differently. If you enjoy understanding why each row is worked as it is, Bjarne will be a rewarding project.
