The Lacy Cable V-Cardigan is knitted top-down as a European Shoulder Construction with bell-shaped set-in sleeves and a size specific engineered V-neck.

Vertical lacy cable stripes alternate with ribbed stockinette stripes, creating clean vertical lines and a balanced silhouette. A positive ease of 8–12 cm 3¼–4¾ inches is recommended.

For those interested in the design process behind the cardigan, I have shared a behind-the-scenes video here: https://youtu.be/p2Zll3oTwG4

The V-neck is shaped separately for each size to maintain balanced proportions and stripe placement across the full size range. Different increase rhythms are used to balance the depth, angle, and flow of the neckline from size XS to 5XL⁺.

The yoke includes size-specific row-by-row instructions, V-stripe increase codes, and linked video guidance. This structured approach helps maintain the same visual balance and stripe flow across sizes and body proportions.

The sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch and finished with the signature Lacy Cable Cuffs. The bottom hem and button band are worked in double-knit stockinette stitch.

After dividing body and sleeves, the cardigan continues back and forth — without steeking.

Lenght adjustable - high or low hip as preferred.

The pattern also includes enclosures with shaping options for tailoring the body using the lacy cable stitch pattern:
• Diamond Bust Darts
• Waist Shaping (Hourglass)
• Hip Shaping (A-line)

Videos of techniques and selected design elements are linked throughout the pattern and marked with the ֍ symbol.

The videos on my YouTube Channel IngesKnittingLab guide you step by step through the construction and techniques used in the design. Each video isfully indexed with time stamps, so you can quickly find the specific technique or question you are looking for.

To give you an idea of how I structure my technique videos, here’s an example. I explain both why and how, share tips & tricks, and point out the quality checks I use throughout the process:
