Blooming diamonds is created using the overlay mosaic crochet technique. It might look difficult, but only consists of dc’s and sc’s and is actually very simple.

This pattern is a great first time pattern, if you are new to the technique.

The pattern includes:

• a picture tutorial/sample pattern to help you learn the technique.

• a chart and full written instructions.

• an explanation on how to adjust the width of the blanket, to make it any size you want, and therefor create a variety of things like blankets, scarfs, wraps, pillows - your imagination is the limit.

Yarn used:

• 1 x Scheepjes cotton whirl.
• 3 x Scheepjes cotton whirlette.

You can use whatever yarn you like. Thicker or thinner yarn will increase or decrease the finished size, but the proportions of the pattern will stay the same.
