This is my first hat design and was inspired by springtime when everything is beginning to bloom and buds are on the trees. It also makes me think of Jesus, the Rose that bloomed in Bethlehem, and His gift of grace, which is very appropriate for a pattern release right before Easter.

The pattern features a fair isle hat in 8 colors of Jamieson and Smith 2 ply jumper weight yarn and the colors are listed in the pattern. One skein of each yarn with be sufficient to complete one hat with plenty leftover to create other projects. I would love to see your different colorways and knitting of my colorway too, so please link your project to my pattern on Ravelry.

This hat will fit an average sized woman’s head at 22 in/56cm circumference. When blocking, the body of the hat can be gently stretched to a bigger circumference.

The hat can be knitted in a beanie or a slouchy version. Both full color charts (beanie and slouchy) are included in the pattern. The beanie will be 9in/22.9cm and the slouchy hat will be 10in/25.4cm in height. Both charts feature a jogless join at the beginning of each round.

I hope you enjoy knitting this springtime hat.
