• DESCRIPTION:
This washcloth is created by V stitches and basic SC and DC. It creates a dense, solid fabric with a subtle texture. This pattern would make a great gift when paired with some nice soap and lotion.

• GAUGE & SIZING:
Gauge (tension) isn’t very important in this project. For reference, my gauge is 4 V sts and 9 rows per 4”.
Play around with hook sizes until you find one that makes a fabric you like. This pattern is written to produce a washcloth that is roughly 8 inches by 10 inches.

• ABBREVIATIONS & STITCHES USED:
ch = chain
st = stitch
sp = space
sk = skip
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
( ) = work all into the same stitch or space
* * = Repeat what is between the asterisks the indicated number of times

Note regarding yarn: You can use any weight yarn and any natural fiber or natural fiber blend for this pattern. If you choose to use a worsted weight (#4) yarn, your washcloth will be smaller unless you change the beginning chain. If you do that, make sure
your beginning chain is a multiple of 4 and then add 1.

• MATERIALS:
About 65 yards of Just Hemp by Lion Brand in the color Reed or any bulky #5 cotton or cotton blend. (See note)
A 6.5 mm (K) hook
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Stitch markers if desired.
