Smaller needles and yarn make the intricate patterns on these mittens possible. It may seem like extra work to knit so small but it’s worth it for an heirloom pair of show-stopping mittens!

Bluebell Mittens are knitted on double pointed needles in the round.

The finished dimensions are (including cuff) 9.75 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide lying flat. Excluding cuff, the hand portion is 7 inches tall lying flat.

These mittens require one ball each of 2 contrasting colors Knit Picks Palette. You will have plenty leftover but not quite enough for another pair.

There are two documents: one with written instructions, and one with the charts for the colorwork. The document with charts has a chart for each separate hand.

Skills required are knit in the round, purl, stranded knitting with colorwork charts, M1L and M1R, SSK, and K2tog.
