BRIGID’S BOOTIES
………………………………………….
Inspired by the spirit of Imbolc, this transformative design felt like turning a corner… only to discover that I had arrived to revisit my creative origins.
Based on a vernacular Eastern European method of knitting footwear, the construction is very simple - yet so unexpected, it is almost magical, inviting the knitter to suspend disbelief as their stitches transform from 2D to 3D, from what at first resembles a swatch, to a fully sculpted and overwhelmingly charming bootie.
Extremely customisable, Brigid’s Booties can be knitted to any leg height and any foot size. And once you try a pair, it is almost guaranteed that more will follow. They are exceptionally cozy to wear, and addictive to knit!
